How Do You Do?

I’m Sherrie and I’m so happy you’re here…

I’m a lover of tacos, Gilmore Girls, mysteries of any kind and a good game of pool. I believe life (and photography) works best when it doesn’t take itself too seriously—just seriously enough to get it right.

I named Mile Thirteen Photography after the river mile marker of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, a landmark connecting Oregon and Washington over the Columbia River. It’s the heart and soul of Astoria.

My passion for photography began in high school with a homemade pinhole camera and hours spent developing images in the darkroom—a hands-on process I still miss. As technology evolved, so did I, but my goal remains the same: capturing authentic, compelling portraits with my trusted Canon R6 Mark II.

Trained at the British Academy of Photography, I specialize in portraits that reveal personality and emotion, whether working with couples, children, or high school seniors. I create a relaxed, fun experience in the studio or outdoors, embracing the stunning landscapes of the Pacific Northwest as a backdrop.

From professional headshots to senior portraits and laid back photo sessions, I offer a range of photography services designed to make lasting impressions. Every session is more than just a photo—it’s a moment in time to treasure for years to come.
