Senior year goes by ridiculously fast. One minute you're wondering how your kid is already in high school, and the next you're searching for senior photographers. And trust me, I get it. I have teenagers of my own, so I know how quickly these years seem to disappear and how bittersweet it can feel watching them grow into the people they're becoming.
At Mile Thirteen Photography, I don't believe senior portraits should feel stiff, overly posed, or like everyone got the same session. I want your senior's photos to feel like them. Their personality, their style, the things they love, and this particular chapter of their life.
I'll take care of the details and guide them through the whole process, from choosing locations and outfits to posing and making sure they actually feel comfortable in front of the camera. Whether we're exploring the beach, wandering through the trees, hanging out downtown, or finding somewhere that means something to them, we'll create a session that's personal, relaxed, and genuinely fun.
Because years from now, these photos won't just be pictures of what your kid looked like at 17 or 18. They'll be a little time capsule of who they were, what they loved, and how this season of their life felt.

No two senior sessions should look the same. We’ll build something around your senior…their personality, interests, style, and whatever makes them feel like themselves.
Maybe they have a favorite place, a hobby they love, or an idea they’ve been wanting to try. Maybe they have absolutely no idea what they want. Either way, I’ll help with the details, from locations and outfits to posing and all the little things that make the session feel personal.
Before we meet, you’ll get a creative questionnaire so I can learn what they love, what makes them feel confident, and what they definitely don’t want. From there, we’ll create a session that feels natural, fun, and completely their own.
Expect some variety, a little laughter, maybe a ridiculous prompt or two and hopefully a few moments where they forget the camera is even there.

And if you’re nervous about being in front of the camera, don’t worry, you do not need to know how to pose. That’s my job. I’ll guide you, keep things moving, and help you feel comfortable without making everything feel stiff or overly posed.
We can keep things polished and classic, bring in some personality, or try something completely different. Downtown, outdoors, at home, at work, or somewhere meaningful to you, the setting can be part of what makes the images yours.
