Why I love photographing people…

For me, photography has always been about people. I love getting to know the person on the other side of my camera, figuring out what makes them laugh, what they’re passionate about, and what makes them them. Then I get to turn those little pieces of personality into photographs.

Some of my favorite images aren’t the perfectly posed ones. They’re the laugh that happens between shots, the look someone gives when they forget I’m there, or that little bit of mischief that sneaks through when they’re having fun. Those are the moments that make a portrait feel alive.

Whether we’re in the studio or wandering somewhere along the Oregon coast, I want your session to feel comfortable, relaxed, and like you. We’ll talk, we’ll laugh, I’ll give you plenty of direction when you need it and there’s a very good chance we’ll get a little stupid along the way.

Because at the end of the day, I’m not just trying to take a great picture. I want to capture something that feels like you.
